Is-sinjal PRIM IMĦALLEF isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej mal-geddum. Il-werrej jinżel u jitla’ qisu jindika li hu qed ifarfar xi ħaġa mill-geddum jew biex jesprimi li hu ħosbien. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ T bil-pala tħares ’il barra fuq il-ġenb l-ieħor u tagħti togħla u tinżel bi skossi żgħar qisu qed tħabbat il-martell fl-awla tal-qorti.
The sign for CHIEF JUDGE is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of a fist with the thumb and index finger holding the chin. The index finger is raised and lowered as though dusting something off the chin or as though indicating anxiety. The other hand takes the shape of T with palm facing downwards at the other side. It rises and falls at the wrist as though using the court mallet.
